Dias got the takedown when the referee took away a dominance position when he was working, Ground game is part of the MMA, if Dana White and Matchmakers have an obsession with strikers that have 0 defense on the ground they should start a Kickboxing promotion, really tired of seeing the favoritism over strikers whose only recourse when down is to pray for the round to end quickly or for the referee to return the fight on their feet, i don't really like fighters like Covington and Usman for their personalities and fighting style. Unsightly fight but it's really stupid that they have to have to win up to 6 or 7 fights in a row to be in the Top 15 and other fighters if they get 2 or 3 KO's in the first round they quickly get a fight against some guy from the Top 10-15.

If I want to see guys who are good at throwing punches and bad at defending takedowns I can look at Top Rank, Premier Boxing Champions or Glory Kickboxing cards and ONE's Kickboxing and Muay Thai cards.
At the end of the day those sports are just throw and trade on feet unlike MMA.
